1. Overview and scope

This Privacy Policy explains how NoteFlame handles information when you visit the NoteFlame marketing website, create an account, play the game, use multiplayer rooms, view leaderboards, contact us, start a trial, or subscribe to Rockstar.

This Policy applies to both the NoteFlame marketing website and the NoteFlame game application. Some features, providers, and data types only apply to certain parts of NoteFlame.

2. Information you provide

When you create or use a NoteFlame account, we may process information such as your email address, username, user ID, authentication status, account settings, and access plan.

When you contact us, we may process your name, email address, subject, message, and related support information so we can respond to your request.

When you subscribe to Rockstar or manage billing, payment and subscription information is handled by Paddle. NoteFlame does not directly store full payment card details.

3. Game and account information

When you use the game, we may process gameplay information such as songs played, difficulty, scores, max combo, perfect hits, good hits, misses, favorites, session attempts, leaderboard entries, multiplayer room participation, and multiplayer results.

We use this information to provide gameplay features, show personal progress, operate leaderboards, run multiplayer rooms, enforce plan access, detect abuse, and improve NoteFlame.

4. Technical, analytics, and security information

We may process technical information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, referring pages, approximate region, performance information, error reports, request metadata, and security or rate-limit signals.

We use this information to keep NoteFlame reliable, secure, and performant, to understand how public pages and product features are used, and to detect spam, abuse, technical misuse, and security risks.

5. How we use information

To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the marketing website, game application, accounts, trials, subscriptions, multiplayer rooms, leaderboards, contact forms, and support.

To authenticate users, manage access, show personal progress, process eligible scores, display rankings, remember favorites, and provide plan-based features.

To process payments, manage subscriptions, handle billing status, provide Rockstar access, and support cancellation or customer portal flows.

To prevent cheating, leaderboard manipulation, spam, abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and misuse of NoteFlame.

To comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, billing, and operational requirements.

6. Service providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate NoteFlame. These providers may help with hosting, analytics, authentication, database services, error monitoring, rate limiting, payments and subscriptions, email delivery, contact messages, search visibility, development, deployment, and infrastructure.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to NoteFlame, maintain security, operate the product, process payments, deliver emails, support billing, prevent abuse, or help us understand reliability and public search performance.

7. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

NoteFlame may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies for login sessions, preferences, security, checkout, analytics, game functionality, and remembering user choices.

Some third-party services may also use technical mechanisms needed to provide their services, such as authentication, checkout, security, analytics, or error monitoring.

8. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate NoteFlame, process payments, deliver emails, provide support, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or enforce our Terms.

Some gameplay information, such as usernames, scores, rankings, leaderboard entries, multiplayer room participation, and multiplayer results, may be visible to other players as part of the game experience.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, security needs, fraud prevention, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of NoteFlame, users, or others.

9. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide NoteFlame, maintain accounts, operate leaderboards, manage subscriptions, answer support requests, prevent abuse, debug issues, and comply with legal obligations.

Some gameplay, leaderboard, billing, security, support, and error-monitoring information may be retained for operational integrity, fraud prevention, billing records, dispute handling, or historical score functionality.

When information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymize, or restrict it, unless we need to keep it for legal, security, billing, or operational reasons.

10. Your choices and rights

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information, subject to legal, billing, security, anti-abuse, leaderboard integrity, and operational requirements.

You can cancel a Rockstar subscription through the billing flow or customer portal.

You can stop using NoteFlame at any time, but some information may remain where needed for legal, billing, security, fraud prevention, or leaderboard integrity reasons.

11. Legal bases where applicable

Depending on where you live and how you use NoteFlame, we may process information to perform our agreement with you, comply with legal obligations, protect our legitimate interests, protect users and the service, or based on your consent.

Our legitimate interests may include operating and improving NoteFlame, securing the service, preventing abuse, maintaining leaderboards, debugging issues, and communicating with users about service-related matters.

12. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect NoteFlame and user information, including authentication controls, access controls, rate limiting, monitoring, logging, and service-provider security features.

No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect NoteFlame and reduce risk.

13. Children

NoteFlame is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required by applicable law.

If we learn that we collected information from a child where parental consent is required, we may delete the information or restrict the account.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date on this page.

Your continued use of NoteFlame after an updated Policy is posted means that the updated Policy applies from that point forward.
