Terms of Use

These Terms describe the rules for using NoteFlame, including the marketing website, game, accounts, gameplay, multiplayer, leaderboards, trials, and Rockstar subscriptions.

Last updated: June 19, 2026

1. Overview and agreement

These Terms of Use are a legally binding agreement between you and NoteFlame. They explain the rules for using the NoteFlame marketing website, the NoteFlame game application, and any related pages, features, domains, or subdomains that link to these Terms.

By visiting the website, creating an account, playing the game, using multiplayer rooms, viewing leaderboards, contacting us, starting a trial, or subscribing to Rockstar, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use NoteFlame.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You may need an account to play NoteFlame, save progress, submit scores, use multiplayer rooms, access leaderboards, start a Rockstar trial, subscribe to Rockstar, or manage billing.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

You may use NoteFlame only if you are legally allowed to accept these Terms. If you are not old enough to use online services in your location without permission, you may use NoteFlame only with the permission and supervision required by applicable law.

We may refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we believe an account is being used in a way that harms NoteFlame, other players, payment systems, service integrity, or the security of the service.

3. Limited license to use NoteFlame

Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, NoteFlame grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the service for personal entertainment purposes.

This license does not give you ownership of NoteFlame, its code, gameplay systems, interface, branding, designs, content, data, or any related intellectual property.

We may update, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of NoteFlame at any time, including songs, features, subscription benefits, multiplayer rooms, leaderboards, score systems, or access rules.

4. Gameplay and fair use

You agree to use NoteFlame fairly and respectfully.

You must not cheat, manipulate scores, automate gameplay, exploit bugs, interfere with timing or scoring systems, bypass access controls, spam the service, attack the service, overload infrastructure, scrape protected data, or disrupt other players.

You must not use bots, scripts, modified clients, browser automation, replay tools, unauthorized API calls, or other methods designed to gain an unfair advantage or damage the integrity of the game.

We may remove suspicious scores, reset leaderboard entries, restrict multiplayer access, block abusive activity, rate-limit requests, or suspend accounts if we believe NoteFlame is being abused or game integrity is being harmed.

5. Prohibited activities

You agree not to use NoteFlame to violate any law, infringe any third-party rights, harass or abuse others, impersonate another person, distribute malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, probe or attack systems, interfere with security, or misuse any part of the service.

You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, exploit, or create derivative works from NoteFlame except where allowed by applicable law.

You must not use NoteFlame in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our systems or service providers.

We may investigate suspected violations and may take action at our discretion, including restricting access, removing content or scores, suspending accounts, terminating access, or reporting activity where required by law.

6. Leaderboards and scores

Leaderboards are part of the competitive NoteFlame experience. Scores, max combo, hit counts, difficulty, song information, ranking information, and session results may be stored and displayed as part of the service.

Free players may have limited leaderboard visibility and may not have scores submitted to worldwide leaderboards.

Rockstar players may access expanded leaderboard features, including worldwide rankings and personal score details.

Leaderboard placement is not guaranteed. We may remove, adjust, hide, or recalculate scores that appear fraudulent, abusive, automated, technically invalid, duplicated, or inconsistent with fair play.

Score submission may fail or be rejected if the session is incomplete, invalid, suspicious, expired, technically inconsistent, or blocked by plan rules.

7. Multiplayer rooms

Multiplayer rooms allow players to compete together in shared sessions.

You agree to use multiplayer respectfully and not harass, spam, impersonate, exploit, interfere with, or disrupt other players.

Rockstar access may be required to create, join, or use multiplayer features.

We do not guarantee that rooms, sessions, invites, realtime updates, results, or player connections will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We may restrict or remove multiplayer access if we believe a player is abusing rooms, disrupting sessions, exploiting bugs, or harming other players.

8. Free access, trial, and Rockstar

NoteFlame may offer free access with limited features.

New players may receive a 7-day Rockstar trial with no credit card required.

After the trial ends, Rockstar features may pause unless the user subscribes. Your account may continue with Free access if you do not subscribe.

Rockstar is a paid subscription that costs €3/month.

Rockstar features, limits, and benefits may change over time. We will try to make important changes clear, but we do not guarantee that every feature or benefit will remain available forever.

9. Payments, billing, taxes, cancellation, and refunds

Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle. NoteFlame does not directly store full payment card details.

Paddle may act as the merchant of record, reseller, payment processor, or billing provider shown at checkout. Billing, taxes, payment methods, invoices, subscription renewal, cancellation flow, and refunds may be handled by Paddle and may also be subject to Paddle’s buyer terms and checkout terms.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. You are responsible for cancelling your subscription if you no longer want Rockstar access.

If you cancel, Rockstar access may continue until the end of the paid billing period unless the checkout or billing provider states otherwise.

Refunds are not guaranteed except where required by law or where Paddle’s checkout, buyer terms, or applicable consumer rules provide otherwise. We may refuse refunds in cases of abuse, fraud, chargeback misuse, cheating, or violation of these Terms, to the extent allowed by law.

10. Contact and support messages

If you contact us through the website or game, you agree that we may receive and process the information you submit, such as your name, email address, subject, and message, so that we can respond or provide support.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through the contact form unless it is necessary for your request.

We try to respond to support requests when possible.

11. Intellectual property

NoteFlame, its branding, interface, gameplay systems, code, designs, visual style, features, score systems, and related content are owned by NoteFlame.

You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, perform, publicly post, or misuse any part of the service except as allowed by law or with written permission.

You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, branding, or proprietary notices that appear in NoteFlame.

12. Third-party services

NoteFlame may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, database storage, analytics, error monitoring, rate limiting, payments, email delivery, search visibility, and deployment.

Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside of our control, but we choose providers that help operate NoteFlame safely and reliably.

13. Devices, compatibility, and internet access

You are responsible for the device, browser, internet connection, software, and settings you use to access NoteFlame.

NoteFlame may not work on every device, browser, screen size, operating system, controller, keyboard, or network environment.

You are responsible for any internet, data, mobile, hardware, or software costs required to access or use NoteFlame.

14. Availability and changes

NoteFlame is provided as is and as available.

We try to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability, error-free operation, or permanent availability of any song, chart, feature, room, score, ranking, subscription benefit, or third-party integration.

We may update, modify, pause, restrict, or discontinue parts of NoteFlame at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal, billing, abuse-prevention, or operational reasons.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to NoteFlame at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, abused the service, created risk for NoteFlame or other users, attempted fraud, manipulated scores, disrupted multiplayer, misused billing, or violated applicable law.

If your access is suspended or terminated because of abuse, fraud, cheating, payment misuse, or violation of these Terms, you may lose access to scores, multiplayer rooms, leaderboards, account features, and Rockstar benefits.

Suspension or termination does not require us to provide a refund unless required by applicable law or by the applicable billing provider’s mandatory rules.

You may stop using NoteFlame at any time. Cancelling a subscription may need to be done through the billing flow or customer portal.

16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, NoteFlame is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, NoteFlame is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost scores, lost rankings, service interruptions, payment provider issues, third-party service issues, device issues, network issues, or gameplay results that do not meet your expectations.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory consumer protection laws.

17. Responsibility for misuse

You are responsible for your use of NoteFlame and for any consequences caused by your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, violation of law, infringement of third-party rights, cheating, abusive activity, or unauthorized use.

To the extent allowed by law, NoteFlame will not be responsible for claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses that arise from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the date on this page.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the website, game, account flow, email, or another reasonable method.

If you continue using NoteFlame after changes are posted or take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

19. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with any policies or terms referenced in them, form the agreement between you and NoteFlame regarding use of the service.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our permission. We may transfer or assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or other business transfer.

Section titles are for convenience only and do not affect the meaning of these Terms.
